Rig veda Book 10, chapter 7, Verse 90: tells about ‘Prajapati’ the son of God who will save the people from their sins and tells that he will be pierced on to a tree (wood) and will shed his blood for saving mankind from their sins.
Sama veda chapter 18: tells about 4 signs of ‘Prajapati’ the saviour. He will be born as poor, He will be born from a virgin, he will be pierced on to a tree (wood) and he will have five wounds.
