Use of Gold by the people of God.

The following is a result of computer aided search of the entire bible for words "gold", "jewel", "jewelry", "ornament" and "precious stones" and classifying them according to its meaning. This will help believers in making a decision as to whether they can use gold considering the word of God as the basis, without giving importance to other people’s opinion.

These words sound against the use of gold for the Israelites. But as seen above after the time of this book we can see that Israelites abundantly used gold. Also when I inquired to the Jewish coworkers in my job they said that they still use gold. Deuteronomy 7:1-2, Deuteronomy 7:25-26
These verses mean that the people of Israel didn’t use gold for a certain period during the exodus in the deserts after sinning so bad before the God. But this was done for a short period like a fasting to show the repentance. As above we see that Israelites abundantly used gold. Exodus 33:3-6, Exodus 35:22
Even though these verses seem to negate the use of gold, they actually compare external beauty versus internal beauty and recommends internal beauty better than external beauty. 1 Timothy 2:9, 1 Peter 3:1-4
Considering the above we can deduct that what is required by God is a modest use of gold by his people with thanksgiving to the God who gives it.
